In settlement of alleged violations of federal law prohibiting unfair acts and practices and unfair methods of competition, this consent order prohibits, among other things, a Florida-based company from misrepresenting that its bullet-resistant garments are certified, approved, endorsed, or sanctioned by any government body or private organization. In addition, the respondent is required to contact certain past purchasers and offer to provide replacement vests at a reduced cost.
