The Department of the Interior (Department) gives notice that the Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary--Indian Affairs (PDAS- IA) proposes to determine that the Shinnecock Indian Nation, P.O. Box 5006, Southampton, NY 11969-0751, c/o Messrs. Frederick C. Bess, Randall King, and Gordell Wright, is an Indian Tribe within the meaning of Federal law.
