The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is withdrawing a notice of proposed rulemaking that would have eliminated several inconsistencies with the generic Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) standards to be developed for the disposal of High-Level Waste (HLW) in deep geologic repositories.
