The Secretary has made findings as to certain illnesses and conditions that can reasonably be determined in some circumstances to be caused or significantly aggravated by certain vaccines. Based on these findings, the Secretary proposes to amend the Vaccine Injury Table (Table) by regulation under section 313 of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 and section 2114 (c) and (e) of the Public Health Service Act (the Act). These proposed regulations would have effect only for petitions for compensation under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (VICP) filed after the new regulations become effective.
