Özet
This document announces the Department of Energy's (DOE) denial of a petition from the Landmark Legal Foundation (LLF) requesting reconsideration of DOE's final rule of energy conservation standards for standby mode and off mode for microwave ovens. DOE published the LLF petition and a request for comments in the Federal Register on August 16, 2013. Based upon its evaluation of the petition and careful consideration of the public comments, DOE has decided to deny this petition for rulemaking.
