The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Morton International, Inc., has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of methyltin-2-mercaptoethyloleate sulfide mixtures as heat stabilizers for use in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipes intended for transporting water for food contact.
