Streszczenie
NMFS issues a proposed rule to implement Amendment 8 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Crustacean Fisheries of the Western Pacific Region (FMP). The rule would establish framework procedures for considering quota adjustments for the fishery and would eliminate a 2- year landing requirement for permit renewal. Notification and reporting procedures also would be modified. These changes are intended to improve the administration of the management program, to improve enforcement and monitoring efforts, and to remove a restrictive criterion for permit renewal.
