The North Pacific Fishery Management Council (Council) submitted Amendment 52 to the Fishery Management Plan for the Commercial King and Tanner Crab Fisheries of the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (Crab FMP) to the Secretary of Commerce (Secretary) for review. If approved, Amendment 52 would remove third-party data verification audits and blind formatting requirements for the Bering Sea and Aleutian Islands (BSAI) crab fisheries Economic Data Report (EDR).
