요약

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a July 6, 2016, request from the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) to redesignate the Cleveland-Akron-Lorain, Ohio area (Cleveland area) to attainment of the 2008 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS or standard), because the request meets the statutory requirements for redesignation under the Clean Air Act (CAA). The Cleveland area includes Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage, and Summit counties. EPA is also proposing to approve, as a revision to the Ohio State Implementation Plan (SIP), Ohio's plan for maintaining the 2008 ozone standard through 2030 in the Cleveland area.
