The Maritime Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard announce the intent to prepare an environmental impact statement/environmental impact report (EIS/EIR). The application describes a project located in the Federal waters of the Santa Monica Basin, approximately 27 miles southwest of Los Angeles International Airport. Publication of this notice begins a 30 day scoping process that will assist in the identification and determination of the environmental issues to be addressed in the EIS/EIR.
