The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a proposal to change a portion of the airport designated aeronautical use to non-aeronautical use and to authorize the release of 1.5411 acres of airport property for an exchange of property between the Columbus Regional Airport Authority (CRAA) and the City of Columbus. The land currently houses a fire station that will remain on the site. The land was conveyed to the City of Columbus in Deed Volume 2806, page 644 of the Recorder's Office, Franklin County, Ohio.
