National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is reopening the comment period on the proposed rule to list the Gulf of Maine/Bay of Fundy (GOM/BOF) harbor porpoise, (Phocoena phocoena), as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Due to the passage of time since the close of the previous comment period, the availability of new/additional information and the desire to review the best scientific information available during the decision-making process, the comment period is being reopened.
