The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (``Commission'') is publishing this release to obtain the views of the public on how to address risks related to holding segregated funds offshore or in foreign currencies. The Commission wishes to consider how to update and otherwise to revise existing regulatory standards to avoid inhibiting transnational commodity futures activities or causing undue costs or operational inconvenience, without increasing risks to market participants.
