Summary: The making of loan deficiency payments (LDP) is authorized by the Agriculture Act of 1949, as amended. To be eligible for a LDP, a producer must meet the same eligibility requirements as if they were applying for a regular price support loan and must agree to forgo obtaining a loan or purchase agreement on the prod
