The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of 2,4-di-tert-pentyl- 6-[1-(3,5-di-tert-pentyl-2-hydroxyphenyl)ethyl]phenyl acrylate as an antioxidant in the manufacture of polypropylene and styrene block polymers that contact food. This action is in response to two petitions filed by Sumitomo Chemical America, Inc.
