Following receipt of a request from the President for an investigation under section 22 of the Agricultural Adjustment Act (7 U.S.C. 624), the Commission hereby gives notice of the institution of investigation No. 22-55 under section 22(a) of the act for the purpose of determining whether peanut butter and peanut paste, provided for in Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS) subheading 2008.11.00, are being or are practically certain to be imported into the United States under such conditions and in such quantities as to render or tend to render ineffective, or materially interfere with, the price support and production adjustment program conducted by the Department of Agriculture for peanuts. The Commission anticipates submitting its report to the President by June 30, 1994.
