Riepilogo
The National Advisory Committee on Meat and Poultry Inspection will meet on January 13 and 14, 1998, to continue its consideration of three policy issues that it began discussing at its September 9, 10, and 11, 1997, meeting: (1) Interstate shipment of State-inspected product; (2) Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) inspection models; and (3) inspection resource management in a HACCP environment. The Committee will consider two new issues at the January meeting: (1) Roles of Federal, State, and local governments in farm-to- table food safety; and (2) policy on pathogen testing and product disposition. All interested persons are welcome to attend the meeting and to submit written comments and suggestions concerning issues the Committee plans to consider.
