Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards; Compressed Natural Gas Fuel Containers

In response to a request by the Aluminum Association, this document proposes amending the specifications in FMVSS No. 304, Compressed Natural Gas Fuel Container Integrity, with respect to CNG containers made with aluminum alloys. The proposed changes, if adopted, would make FMVSS No. 304 consistent with the most recent voluntary standard issued by the aluminum industry.
