NHTSA Proposes Amendments to FMVSS 304 for Compressed Natural Gas Fuel Containers Made with Aluminum Alloys

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration proposes amendments to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 304, which regulates the integrity of compressed natural gas fuel containers made from aluminum alloys, in response to a request from the Aluminum Association. The proposed changes aim to align FMVSS 304 with the latest voluntary standard issued by the aluminum industry.
