Résumé

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain Shorts Model SD3-60 and SD3-SHERPA series airplanes. This proposal would require a one-time inspection to detect cracks and/or corrosion of the gland nut on the shock absorber of the main landing gear (MLG), and follow-on actions. The proposal also would require repair or replacement of any cracked/ corroded gland nut with a new nut. This proposal is prompted by a report that, due to stress corrosion and cracking of the gland nut on the shock absorber, the MLG collapsed on an in-service airplane. The actions specified by the proposed AD are intended to prevent such stress corrosion or cracking and consequent reduced structural integrity of the gland nut, which could result in separation of the shock absorber cylinder from the MLG shock absorber body and, consequently, lead to the collapse of the MLG during landing.

Airworthiness Directives; Dassault Aviation Airplanes

The FAA is superseding Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-22- 05, which applied to certain Dassault Aviation Model FAN JET FALCON and FAN JET FALCON SERIES C, D, E, F, and G airplanes. AD 2023-22-05 required revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-22-05, the FAA has determined that new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations are necessary. This AD continues to require certain actions in AD 2023-22-05 and requires revising the existing maintenance or inspection program, as applicable, to incorporate new or more restrictive airworthiness limitations. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for all Airbus SAS Model A330-841 and Model A330-941 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by reports of crack findings on the sloping rib. This proposed AD would require a repetitive inspection of the external surface of each sloping rib and each slat 1 inboard seal, and applicable corrective actions. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Airworthiness Directives; Diamond Aircraft Industries Inc. Airplanes

The FAA proposes to adopt a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Diamond Aircraft Industries Inc. (DAI) Model DA20-C1 airplanes. This proposed AD was prompted by a report of a certain emergency locator transmitter (ELT) not activating due to a missing jumper wire. Airworthiness Directives; Airbus SAS Airplanes

The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A319-111, -112, -113, -114, -115, -131, -132, and -133 airplanes; Model A320 series airplanes; and Model A321-211, - 212, -213, -231, -232, -251N, -251NX, -252N, -252NX, -253N, -253NX, - 271N, -271NX, -272N, and -272NX airplanes. This AD was prompted by a review of the cold working process on the assembly line that detected a deviation to the manufacturing process. This AD requires repetitive inspections for the nominal design condition of the fastener holes in the pressure deck membrane to center wing box attachment and, as applicable, an inspection for cracking at the affected area and corrective actions. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.

Airworthiness Directives; Airbus Helicopters

The FAA proposes to supersede Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2023-25-14, which applies to certain Airbus Helicopters Model EC130T2 helicopters. AD 2023-25-14 revises the procedures for inspecting the vibration level on the tail rotor drive shaft and, depending on these results, requires replacing certain parts. Since the FAA issued AD 2023-25-14, the manufacturer developed a modification of the rear drive shaft, sliding flange and equipped splined sleeve. This proposed AD would require installing this modification and repetitively inspecting the vibration level of the tail rotor drive shaft. This proposed AD would also prohibit the installation of certain parts and prohibit the performance of a balance correction unless certain requirements are met. The FAA is proposing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
