FAA Proposes New Airworthiness Directive for Shorts Model SD3-60 and SD3-SHERPA Series Airplanes

The FAA proposes a new airworthiness directive for certain Shorts Model SD3-60 and SD3-SHERPA series airplanes to address cracks and corrosion in the gland nut on the main landing gear shock absorber. The directive would require a one-time inspection and repair or replacement of the nut to prevent collapse of the landing gear during landing.
