NRC Grants Exemption for Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station's Passive Core Cooling System

Summary

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to South Carolina Electric & Gas Company and the South Carolina Public Service Authority to deviate from the certification information of the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station's Tier 1 design control document. This exemption is part of License Amendment No. 61, issued concurrently with the amendment to Combined Licenses (COL) NPF-93 and NPF-94.
