NRC Grants Exemption to Holtec for Palisades Nuclear Plant Construction

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has granted an exemption to Holtec International to construct permanent support of excavation walls at its Palisades Nuclear Plant before receiving a limited work authorization for units 1 and 2. The support structures will remain in place after construction is completed.
