Northeast Multispecies Common Pool Fishery to Increase Possession Limits for Gulf of Maine Stocks

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has temporarily increased the possession limits for Gulf of Maine cod, Cape Cod/Gulf of Maine yellowtail flounder, Gulf of Maine winter flounder, white hake, and pollock for Northeast multispecies common pool vessels until the end of the 2013 fishing year, in an effort to boost catch rates and allow the fishery to meet its quota.
