US Rulemaking Implements Gear Marking and Entanglement Risk Reduction Measures for Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has implemented new gear marking requirements and entanglement risk reduction measures for the Pacific Coast Groundfish Fishery, pursuant to the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, to increase attributing entanglements to specific fishery and gear type and reduce bycatch.
