Disaster Assistance; Federal Assistance to Individuals and Households

This interim final rule implements subsection 206(a) of the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 by consolidating "Temporary Housing Assistance" and "Individual and Family Grant Programs" into a single program called "Federal Assistance to Individuals and Households." Through this consolidation we are attempting to streamline the provision of assistance to disaster victims.
