The petition proposed that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe, increased use of ethylenebis(oxyethylene)-bis-(3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-5- methylhydrocinnamate) as a stabilizer for polyoxymethylene copolymers and homopolymers intended for food-contact use.
