Radiological Criteria for Decommissioning of NRC-Licensed Facilities; Enhanced Participatory Rulemaking, Availability of the Staff's Draft of the Rule

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting an enhanced participatory rulemaking on establishing the radiological criteria for the decommissioning of NRC-licensed facilities. The Commission has enhanced the participation of affected interests in the rulemaking by soliciting commentary from these interests on the rulemaking issues before the staff developed the draft proposed rule. This document announces the availability of the staff's draft proposed rule as well as a summary of the comments provided to the NRC in response to its enhancement efforts.
