The Committee advises the Directors of the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the Census Bureau, and the Commissioner of the U.S. Department of Labor's Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) on statistical methodology and other technical matters related to the collection, tabulation, and analysis of federal economic statistics. Meeting of the 2030 Census Advisory Committee

The Census Bureau is giving notice of a virtual meeting of the 2030 Census Advisory Committee (2030 CAC or Committee). The Committee will assist the Census Bureau in devising strategies to increase awareness of and participation in the next decennial census, reduce barriers to response, and enhance the public's trust and willingness to respond. Last minute changes to the schedule are possible, which could prevent giving advance public notice of schedule adjustments.

Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee

The Secretary of Commerce has determined that renewal of the charter of the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee (FESAC) is necessary and in the public interest in connection with the performance of duties imposed by law on the U.S. Department of Commerce, established within the Office of the Under Secretary for Economic Affairs, U.S. Department of Commerce and administered by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. U.S. Census Bureau Tribal Consultation; Virtual Public Meeting

The U.S. Census Bureau (Census Bureau) will conduct two virtual Tribal consultations on updating the race/ethnicity code list for the American Community Survey and the 2030 Census on December 11, 2024, and January 15, 2025. The two virtual Tribal consultation webinars will reflect the Census Bureau's continuous commitment to strengthen government-to-government relationships with federally recognized Tribes. The Census Bureau's procedures for outreach, notice, and consultation ensure involvement of Tribes, to the extent practicable and permitted by law, before making decisions or implementing policies, rules, or programs that affect federally recognized Tribal governments. These meetings are open to citizens of federally and State recognized Tribes by invitation.

Agency Information Collection Activities; Submission to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for Review and Approval; Comment Request; Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) Operation

The Department of Commerce, in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995, invites the general public and other Federal agencies to comment on proposed, and continuing information collections, which helps us assess the impact of our information collection requirements and minimize the public's reporting burden. The purpose of this notice is to allow for 60 days of public comment on the proposed reinstatement, with change, of the Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA) operation, prior to the submission of the information collection request (ICR) to OMB for approval.
