摘要

The Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department) announces the availability of approximately $1.2 million in grant funds authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (the Recovery Act) from the dislocated workers assistance national reserve to provide technical assistance and outreach to dislocated workers impacted by foreign trade. Proposed projects must be developed and implemented through strategic partnerships. This SGA or solicitation provides background information on the grant opportunity and critical elements required of projects funded under this grant. It also describes the application submission requirements, the process that eligible applicants must use to apply for funds covered by this solicitation, and how grantees will be selected. The eligible applicants for this SGA are National Employer Associations, National Labor Union Organizations, other Labor Union Affiliates, Non-profit Organizations and National Associations with connections to the Trade Adjustment Assistance for Workers (TAA) program or TAA-certified workers. Additional specific eligibility guidance is included in Section III.A under "Eligibility Information."
