摘要

The proposed information collection requirement described below has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review, as required by the Paperwork Reduction Act. The Department is soliciting public comments on the subject proposal. In Fiscal Year 2012 an as yet unknown amount of funding will be made available for this effort. The program is approved by HUD's authority and administered under the Transformation Initiative Account. The purpose of the effort is to provide funding to support research that will build upon a larger social experiment funded by HUD. The funds will be made available in the form of cooperative agreements. Awardees will be selected through a competitive process, announced through a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). Applicants are required to submit certain information as part of their application for assistance. Awardees are required to prepare a quarterly status report so that HUD can monitor their progress in completion of their research.
