Airworthiness Directives; Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A. (EMBRAER) Model EMB-135 and -145 Series Airplanes

This amendment adopts a new airworthiness directive (AD), applicable to certain Model EMB-135 and -145 series airplanes. This AD requires modification of the pitch trim system, which includes replacing certain components of the system with new or serviceable components, and upgrading certain software to a newer version. This action is necessary to prevent the temporary loss of the pitch trim command, which could result in reduced controllability of the airplane and consequent injury to the flightcrew and passengers. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
