Endangered and Threatened Wildlife and Plants; Proposed Designation of Critical Habitat for Thlaspi californicum (Kneeland Prairie Penny-cress)

本地自动翻译 · 来源原始语言

摘要

We, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service), propose to designate critical habitat pursuant to the Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended (Act), for Thlaspi californicum (Kneeland Prairie penny-cress). Approximately 30 hectares (74 acres) in Humboldt County, California, are proposed for designation as critical habitat. If this proposal is made final, section 7 of the Act requires Federal agencies to ensure that any actions they fund, authorize, or carry out do not result in the destruction or adverse modification of critical habitat. Section 4 of the Act requires us to consider economic and other relevant impacts when specifying any particular area as critical habitat. We solicit data and comments from the public on all aspects of this proposal, including data on economic and other impacts of the designation. We may revise this proposal prior to final designation to incorporate or address new information received during the comment period.
