Notice of Public Meeting; Proposed Withdrawal at Roosevelt Lake; Arizona

This notice announces the time and place for an open house to provide an opportunity for public involvement regarding the Bureau of Reclamation's application to withdraw 9,880 acres of National Forest System lands. The withdrawal is requested to protect the public from rising water levels due to the operation of the recently raised Theodore Roosevelt Dam, and to protect Reclamation's investment in the associated recreational developments at Roosevelt Lake. This notice also establishes an additional written comment period to allow people to present their views after attending the open house.
