Public Land Order No. 7289; Revocation of Executive Order No. 6544 and Public Land Orders No. 2618 and 4845; California

This order partially revokes Executive Order No. 6544 and Public Land Order No. 2618, and revokes Public Land Order No. 4845, in its entirety, insofar as they affect 240 acres of lands withdrawn for the Forest Service's Gazelle Mountain fire lookout and the Bureau of Land Management's Copco Lake Access Area. The lands are no longer needed for the purposes for which they were withdrawn, and the revocations are necessary to facilitate a pending land exchange. The lands are temporarily closed to surface entry and mining because of the pending land exchange. The lands have been and will remain open to mineral leasing.
