The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Nalco/Exxon Energy Chemicals, L. P. has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of poly(alkyl methacrylate) as a processing aid in the production of petroleum wax.
