The Memorandum Opinion and Order (Order) in CC Docket No. 97- 137 concludes that Ameritech Michigan (Ameritech) has not satisfied the requirements of section 271 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended (Act). The Commission therefore denies Ameritech's application for authorization to provide in-region, interLATA services in Michigan. The Order declines to grant Ameritech authority to provide in-region, interLATA services in Michigan.
