Sale and Issue of Marketable Book-Entry Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds

The Department of the Treasury (``Department'') is proposing, for comment, an amendment to 31 CFR Part 356 (Uniform Offering Circular for the Sale and Issue of Marketable Book-Entry Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds). The proposed amendment defines the term ``investment adviser'' and contains a new section on bidding through investment advisers. The amendment also makes certain clarifying changes.
