This rule seeks comment on the proposed elimination of specifications governing the use of ``Cheese Alternate Products'' in the National School Lunch Program. The removal of these specifications should enable cheese substitute manufacturers more freedom in the production of this type of product while maintaining program nutrition standards through reliance on existing Food and Drug Administration rules.
