Determination of the Individual Quota Amounts for Certain Imported Sugars, Syrups, and Molasses for ``Other Specified Countries and Areas''

The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is providing notice that the individual quota amounts for each foreign country and area in the category of ``Other specified countries and areas'' for imports of certain sugars, syrups, and molasses for the period August 1, 1994, through September 30, 1995, will be 8,468 metric tons, raw value. On August 8, 1994, the Secretary of Agriculture announced the total amount and quota period for the tariff-rate quota for these sugars, syrups and molasses at 1,322,978 metric tons (1,458,333 short tons), raw value, for the period August 1, 1994, through September 30, 1995.

Fiscal Year 2027 Tariff-Rate Quota Allocations for Raw Cane Sugar, Refined Sugar, and Sugar-Containing Products

The Office of the United States Trade Representative is providing notice of allocations of the Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 (October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027) in-quota quantities of the tariff- rate quotas (TRQs) for imported raw cane sugar, certain sugars, syrups and molasses (also known as refined sugar), which includes specialty sugar, and sugar-containing products.

Notice of Extended Deadline for Written Responses to the Initial Round of Comments About the Administration's Action Following a Determination of Import Injury With Regard to Quartz Surface Products (QSP)

On May 15, 2026, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), on behalf of the Trade Policy Staff Committee (TPSC), published in the Federal Register a process by which domestic producers, importers, exporters, and other interested parties may submit views and evidence on the appropriateness of the safeguard measure recommended by the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) with respect to its determination that quartz surface products (QSP) are being imported into the United States in such increased quantities as to be a substantial cause of serious injury, or the threat thereof, to the domestic industry producing an article that is like or directly competitive with the imported article. Because of technical difficulties associated with posting documents to the docket, USTR is extending the deadline for filing responses to the initial round of comments until June 10, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. EST. In addition, USTR is notifying interested parties of the start time for the public hearing.

Request for Comments and Public Hearing About the Administration's Action Following a Determination of Import Injury With Regard to Quartz Surface Products (QSP)

On April 1, 2026, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) determined that quartz surface products (QSP) are being imported into the United States in such increased quantities as to be a substantial cause of serious injury, or the threat thereof, to the domestic industry producing an article that is like or directly competitive with the imported article. The Commissioners who voted in the affirmative are now conducting a process to recommend a safeguard measure for the President. The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR), on behalf of the Trade Policy Staff Committee (TPSC), is announcing a process so that, once the USITC makes its recommendation and issues its report to the President, domestic producers, importers, exporters, and other interested parties subsequently may submit their views and evidence on the appropriateness of the recommended safeguard measure. USTR also invites interested parties to participate in a public hearing regarding this matter.

Notice of Actions in Section 301 Investigations of Acts, Policies, and Practices of Various Economies Related to the Failure of Each Economy To Impose and Effectively Enforce a Prohibition on the Importation of Goods Produced With Forced Labor

The United States Trade Representative (Trade Representative) has determined under Section 301(b) and Section 304(a) of the Trade Act of 1974, as amended (Trade Act), that in each of 60 investigations, certain of the acts, policies, and practices of the economy at issue are actionable and that action by the United States is appropriate. In accordance with the specific direction of the President, the Trade Representative is taking actions in each of these investigations by imposing tariffs on all products of the investigated economy, with certain exemptions as provided in Annexes I and II to this notice (Notice). Consistent with the specific direction of the President, for an economy that imposes a forced labor import prohibition, has committed to impose and enforce such a prohibition through an Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART), or has imposed a partial regime with the effect of preventing the importation of certain forced labor goods, the Trade Representative has determined 10 percent is the appropriate rate of Section 301 duties, with specific economies subject to a 10 percent rate net of a product's most-favored-nation (MFN) duty.
