Extension of Comment Period for Section 302 Investigation Concerning European Community Banana Import Regime

On October 17, 1994, the United States Trade Representative (USTR) initiated an investigation under Section 302(a) of the Trade Act, as amended (19 U.S.C. 2412(a)), concerning the European Union's practices with respect to the importation of bananas (59 Fed. Reg. 53495). Interested persons have requested that USTR extend the period for comment. In response to this request, USTR has decided to extend the closing date for the comment period from November 17, 1994 until December 1, 1994.
