The Department of the Treasury (Treasury) is eliminating the printing of paper Series EE and Series I savings bonds in reissue and claims transactions. Customers requesting these transactions will now have the option of receiving either book-entry (electronic) bonds or payment in lieu of the traditional paper bonds.
