Volkswagen filed an original noncompliance report dated November 19, 2021, and later amended the report on November 22, 2021, and December 1, 2021. Volkswagen petitioned NHTSA on December 13, 2021, for a decision that the subject noncompliance is inconsequential as it relates to motor vehicle safety.
