On December 10, 2009, Indiana submitted a request for a revision to its sulfur dioxide (SO 2 ) state implementation plan (SIP) for the ArcelorMittal Burns Harbor LLC (ArcelorMittal) facility in Porter County, Indiana. This revision would remove the SO 2 emission limit for the blast furnace gas flare at the facility.
