Supplemental Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the National Science Foundation

The National Science Foundation, with the concurrence of the Office of Government Ethics (OGE), is issuing regulations for officers and employees of the NSF that supplement the Standards of Ethical Conduct for Employees of the Executive Branch (Standards) issued by OGE. The rule is a necessary supplement to the Standards, and addresses ethical issues unique to NSF. It restricts employee participation in certain proposals and awards; provides for clearance for participation in NSF-supported conferences and in certain other outside activities, and prescribes certain ethics restriction on Members of the National Science Board.
