The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone on the Ohio River within the Captain of the Port Pittsburgh Zone, which includes mile marker 13 to mile marker 32, mile marker 65 to mile marker 85, and mile marker 109 to mile marker 127 on the Ohio River. This safety zone is needed to protect persons, property, and vessels transiting the area from the hazards associated with ice accumulation on the waterways. Entry into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port (COTP) Pittsburgh or a designated representative.

Security Zone; Ohio River, Cincinnati, OH

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary security zone for all navigable waters of the Ohio River, extending the entire width of the river, between mile marker (MM) 461 to Mile 473. This security zone is needed to provide waterside security and protection of persons under the protection of the United States Secret Service during a visit to Cincinnati, OH. During the enforcement period, entry into, transiting, or anchoring in the security zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Ohio Valley (COTP) or a designated on-scene U.S. Coast Guard representative.

Safety Zone; Annual Fireworks Displays Within the Sector Columbia River Captain of the Port Zone

The Coast Guard amends the regulations establishing safety zones for annual fireworks displays in the Captain of the Port Zone Columbia River. This action adds a safety zone for a fireworks display, removes a safety zone for a fireworks display no longer under the Coast Guard's authority and jurisdiction, edits a fireworks display's name, and adds a second date for a fireworks display. Safety Zones; Fireworks Displays in the USCG East District

The Coast Guard is amending its regulation for recurring safety zones for fireworks displays in the USCG East District by adding safety zones for three recurring events and by amending the safety zone for one recurring event. All lie within the Virginia Captain of the Port Zone. This rulemaking will provide for the safety of life on the navigable waters at the confluence of the James River and the Appomattox River, on the Hampton River, on the East River, and on the Elizabeth River, at Town Point Reach, during firework displays typically held on each of those rivers annually.
