This notice sets forth the schedule and summary agenda for a meeting of the President's Committee of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), and describes the functions of the Committee. Notice of this meeting is required under the Federal Advisory Committee Act. Date and Place: Friday, December 1, 2000, Washington, DC. This meeting will take place in the Truman Room (Third Floor) of the White House Conference Center, 726 Jackson Place, NW., Washington, DC. Type of Meeting: Open. Proposed Schedule and Agenda: The President's Committee of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) is scheduled to meet in open session on Friday, December 1, 2000, from approximately 1:00-4:00 p.m., to discuss (1) PCAST recommendations regarding the National Science and Technology Council, (2) lessons learned from the work of the President's Committee of Advisors on Science and Technology, (3) PCAST recommendations regarding science and technology capacity building abroad, (4) research misconduct, and (5) the Federal Government- University Research Partnership activities.
