NMFS has disapproved the Fishery Management Plan for Pelagic Sargassum Habitat of the South Atlantic Region (FMP) submitted by the South Atlantic Fishery Management Council (Council). Under the procedures of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (Magnuson-Stevens Act), NMFS determined that the FMP did not meet the requirements for a fishery management plan.
