The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Akzo Nobel Chemicals, Inc., has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of 3,6,9- triethyl-3,6,9-trimethyl-1,4,7-triperoxynonane as a modifier in the production of olefin polymers used as components of food-contact articles.
