The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is announcing that Yoshitomi Fine Chemicals, Ltd., has filed a petition proposing that the food additive regulations be amended to provide for the safe use of 4,5-dichloro-1,2-dithiol-3-one as a slimicide in the manufacture of food-contact paper and paperboard.
